All manuscripts submitted to HIE undergo an initial editorial screening and plagiarism check before entering the peer-review process. Manuscripts that meet the journal's requirements are evaluated through a double-blind peer-review process, normally involving at least two independent reviewers.
The journal applies a maximum similarity threshold of 20%. The similarity report is evaluated contextually by the editorial team and does not automatically constitute evidence of plagiarism.
HIE is published twice a year, in May and November. Manuscripts may be submitted throughout the year and are processed continuously according to the journal's editorial and peer-review procedures.
HIE provides immediate open access to its published articles. All articles are freely available online without subscription or access fees.
