Hasanah in Education (HIE) is committed to maintaining the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of the scholarly record. The journal may publish corrections, expressions of concern, or retractions when necessary to address errors, inaccuracies, or violations of publication ethics.
A correction may be issued when an error in a published article affects the accuracy or clarity of the scholarly record but does not invalidate the overall findings or conclusions of the article.
Corrections may include, but are not limited to:
Corrections will be linked to the original article and clearly identified as a correction to maintain transparency.
An article may be retracted when its findings or content are determined to be unreliable or when serious publication or research misconduct has occurred.
Reasons for retraction may include:
When a potential reason for retraction is identified, the editorial team will conduct an appropriate assessment.
Where necessary, the journal may:
A retraction decision is made by the Editor-in-Chief or an authorized editor based on the available evidence and the seriousness of the issue.
When an article is retracted, HIE will publish a clear Retraction Notice explaining the reason for the retraction.
The retraction notice will be linked to the original article and will remain permanently accessible.
The original article will normally remain available in the journal archive with a clear retraction indication so that the scholarly record is not misleading.
An Expression of Concern may be issued when serious questions arise regarding the integrity or reliability of a published article but the available evidence is not yet sufficient to justify retraction.
An Expression of Concern may remain in place until the matter has been appropriately resolved.
Authors are encouraged to notify the editorial office promptly if they discover significant errors in their published articles.
The journal will assess reported errors and determine whether a correction, expression of concern, or retraction is appropriate.
HIE does not ordinarily alter the published version of an article without maintaining a transparent record of the change.
Where a correction is necessary, the corrected information will be clearly identified and appropriately linked to the original publication.
This approach ensures that readers can distinguish between the original publication and subsequent corrections.
Decisions concerning corrections, expressions of concern, and retractions are based on scholarly evidence, publication ethics, and the integrity of the academic record.
Such decisions are not influenced by commercial interests, author status, institutional affiliation, or other irrelevant considerations.
HIE is committed to correcting the scholarly record whenever necessary. The journal encourages authors, reviewers, editors, and readers to report suspected errors or publication misconduct to the editorial office.
All concerns will be handled fairly, confidentially, and in accordance with the journal's Publication Ethics policy.
Hasanah in Education (HIE) reserves the right to take appropriate editorial action whenever the reliability or integrity of the scholarly record is compromised.
