Archiving Policy

Hasanah in Education (HIE) is committed to the long-term preservation and accessibility of all published articles and journal content.

The journal uses digital preservation services, including LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) and CLOCKSS (Controlled Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe), to support the long-term preservation of the journal's scholarly content.

Digital Preservation

HIE participates in digital archiving and preservation systems to ensure that published articles remain accessible even if the journal's website or publishing platform becomes unavailable.

The journal's digital content may be preserved through:

  • LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe);
  • CLOCKSS (Controlled Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe); and
  • Other recognized digital preservation or repository services adopted by the journal.

LOCKSS

The LOCKSS system supports distributed preservation by allowing participating libraries and repositories to maintain copies of journal content. This provides additional protection against the loss of digital scholarly materials.

CLOCKSS

CLOCKSS provides a trusted, decentralized digital preservation infrastructure designed to ensure continued access to scholarly content in the event that the original publisher or journal platform is no longer available.

Author Self-Archiving

Authors may deposit and share their published articles in institutional repositories, subject repositories, personal academic websites, and other appropriate scholarly platforms, provided that the original publication in Hasanah in Education (HIE) is properly acknowledged.

Authors are encouraged to include the article DOI and a link to the official journal version whenever available.

Preservation of the Scholarly Record

HIE maintains published articles as part of the permanent scholarly record. Articles that are corrected or retracted will remain in the journal archive with a clear indication of their publication status.

Corrections, retractions, and other post-publication notices will be appropriately linked to the original article to maintain transparency and preserve the history of the scholarly record.

Long-Term Accessibility

HIE is committed to maintaining the long-term accessibility, integrity, and discoverability of its published content.

The journal will periodically review its digital preservation practices and may adopt additional recognized preservation services when appropriate.

The publisher and editorial team are responsible for supporting the preservation and continued accessibility of the journal's published content.
